International Students Welcome Here

Moving to a new country for education brings excitement and challenges. We've walked this path with students from over 40 countries since 2018, and we understand the visa paperwork, housing questions, and cultural adjustments that come with studying abroad. Our programs start in September 2025 and February 2026.

Student Visa Support Services

The F-1 visa process can feel overwhelming. We partner with immigration advisors who specialize in student visas and help coordinate the documentation you'll need.

I-20 Documentation

We issue your I-20 form after enrollment confirmation. Most students receive their documents within 10 business days of completing registration for our fall 2025 or winter 2026 cohorts.

Embassy Interview Prep

Our international advisor conducts mock interviews covering common questions consular officers ask. Past students mention this practice session helped reduce their anxiety considerably.

Financial Documentation

Bank statements and sponsorship letters need specific formatting. We provide templates and review your documents before submission to minimize delays.

Settling Into Life in Michigan

Taylor sits about 20 minutes from Detroit, and the area has a sizable international community. Finding your footing takes time, but you won't be navigating this alone.

  • Airport pickup coordination for students arriving in Detroit Metro
  • Temporary housing assistance while you search for permanent accommodation
  • Bank account setup guidance at local branches familiar with F-1 requirements
  • Monthly cultural orientation sessions covering Michigan winters, public transport, and local customs
  • Connection to international student groups and community organizations

We maintain partnerships with landlords who understand student needs and have rented to international students before. Housing costs typically range between 0-900 monthly for shared apartments near our location.

Your Application Timeline

Start your application 4-6 months before your intended start date. Here's what the process looks like from initial inquiry through your first day of class.

Application Submission

Fill out our international student application online. We'll review your educational background and English proficiency within one week. TOEFL scores of 70+ or IELTS 6.0+ are typically accepted, though we evaluate each application individually.

I-20 Issuance & Financial Verification

After acceptance, submit your financial documents showing ability to cover tuition and living expenses. Once verified, we issue your I-20 form needed for the F-1 visa application. This stage usually takes 2-3 weeks.

Book your flight to Detroit and notify us of your arrival details. You can enter the U.S. up to 30 days before your program start date. Our orientation week begins one week before classes for international students.

The visa support saved me weeks of confusion. My advisor reviewed every document before I submitted anything to the embassy. Getting my first apartment was stressful, but they connected me with a landlord who had worked with students before. That made a huge difference during my first month in Michigan.

Winter in Michigan was quite the adjustment coming from southern China. The cultural orientation sessions helped me understand things I wouldn't have thought to ask about. Opening a bank account seemed impossible until the international office walked me through which documents I actually needed. Small things that make settling in much easier.
